If satellites are fake (they are) then tracking Vendee Globe is fake-- and thus so is Vendee Globe.

I wondered why "Envisat" hadn't tracked the Race in 2012/3 but we find.....
Envisat
9 May 2012
- Just weeks after celebrating its tenth year in orbit, communication with the Envisat satellite was
suddenly loston 8 April. Following rigorous attempts to re-establish contact and the investigation of failure scenarios, theend of the mission is being declared.

What rotten luck.
Who uses Envisat data?

Polar View delivers information about sea ice and icebergs direct to ships operating in the Southern Ocean. We use several types of satellite imagery to deliver a comprehensive, detailed and up to date picture of sea ice extent and distribution. Better knowledge of sea ice conditions contributes directly to improved ship safety and efficiency. Safer and efficient ship operations also helps to protect the Antarctic environment.
Users of Polar View services in the Antarctic include national programme operators, tourist vessels and other ships working in this region. We aim to make sea ice information widely accessible to all ships and operators in the Southern Ocean.
Polar View services in the Antarctic are provided by an experienced team of polar satellite imaging experts from companies and research institutes in Europe and Canada.
The Polar View Antarctic services are managed by the British Antarctic Survey.
Polar View is supported in the Antarctic by the
UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the European Space Agency and the European Commission.

All this has gone 404.

A bit like the Envisat.
Ice velocity maphttp://www.esa.int/Our_Activities/Observing_the_Earth/Envisat/Ice_thickness
In August 2011, the first map of ice velocity over the entire continent of Antarctica was created derived from,
Envisat ASAR, ALOS PALSAR, Radarsat-2, ERS-1 and ERS-2 satellite radar interferometry overlaid on aMODIS mosaic of Antarctica. These new findings are critical to measuring the global impact to sea-level rise resulting from ice flowing into the ocean.

What's the Mosaic of Antarctica? It all seems to go back to NASA
http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Features/MOA/
Dec 6 2005...thanks to NASA satellite data
“It’s an almost perfect picture of the surface of the continent,” says Ted Scambos, lead scientist at [ National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) at the University of Colorado]....
“It reveals a lot of surface detail, and it covers a huge area. This is a big step in mapping Antarctica.”

Used, for instance, on this map of ice melt [NASA again]

Rates of basal melt of Antarctic ice shelves (melting of the shelves from underneath) overlaid on a 2009 mosaic of Antarctica created from data from NASA's Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) instrument aboard NASA's Terra and Aqua spacecraft.

I see no menton of Antarctica on the NASA pages of Terra and Aqua linked here:

Here's an introductory documentary on the fake (as all satellites are... see septemberclues.com, big-lies.com and fakeologist.com or google/youtube search  "satellites are fake"). Notice how the video creator combines real video with simulations without stating when  the simulations are being shown. Sometimes, the video seems so realistic that its appears real until an animation occurs and the viewer then realizes its a cartoon.
